Can you give Charlie a home?

This dear old boy is Charlie and his story is enough to break the toughest of hearts. He is a 14 years young, long haired Jack Russell Terrier. He was the loyal companion to his late owner for 14 years until they passed away. Charlie was then left alone in the home for two – three weeks with relatives popping in once a day to feed him, understandably Charlie wasn’t hungry. He watched over those weeks as the furniture and belongings were moved from the house leaving him in the end with just a chair. Then someone contacted the rescue to see if they could help. Charlie then went in to kennels. Kennels is no place for a poor dog of this age. He must have been completely in shock by what has happened of late. Now for the good news....we found a lovely lady to foster Charlie and he is shining! Here is what his foster mum has to say about him ................. Day 1 - For a 14 year old, he is very mobile. He managed to jump over the back seat of the car, including the headrests and then get to the front seat. He can jump on the bed as well! Charlie was quiet through the night. He jumped on the bed a few times but got off when told. He is more relaxed today. He got very excited when he saw the lead for his walk. Greeted the grandchildren then left them alone. Gets on ok with my dog. keeps coming over for affection. He is lovely Day 2 - I think he was loved before his owner died because he is very affectionate. He gets so excited when I get the leads out for a walk. I keep him on the lead but that doesn't stop him checking out every blade of grass that we pass!. His new owner will be lucky to have such a lovely little fellow’ Although Charlie is enjoying his foster home we really want to find his forever home very soon, he will make a wonderful dog in the right home and will give so much love in return. Charlie can be rehomed out of Essex.
