Meet Kyzer

Hello, my name is Kyzer, I’m a five month old male Dogue de Bordeaux Mixedbreed. I arrived at The Mayhew because my owner no longer wanted me. I’m a very active, bouncy and friendly boy. I get along well with everyone I meet and I always enjoy meeting new people. I also get along very well with other dogs. I love to play and I like to turn everything into a game. I’m now starting to learn the basic commands, sometimes I lack concentration but with patience and perseverance I’m getting there. I still have lots to learn so I’ll need a home with someone who has plenty of time on their hands to continue my training and teach me manners. I’m now looking for a forever home with an active person or family who have owned dogs before and have researched my breed type. I can live with sensible children from twelve years of age and upwards providing they are used to being around large dogs. I’d happily share my new home with a well-behaved adult dog and I can also live with dog-confident cats providing my owner is prepared to teach me not to chase them. I’ll need to live in either a house or a ground floor flat with direct access to a garden and I’ll need a home where there is somebody around for most of the day. My new owners will be expected to continue my training, take me to training classes and provide me with two gentle thirty minute off-lead walks everyday building up to a minimum of one to two hours of active off-lead exercise in the park every day once I’m fully grown . If you’re interested in adopting me you will need to be fully prepared for the hard work and long-term commitment involved in caring for a dog, you’ll be taking on a fourteen year commitment which must not be taken lightly. I hope to see you soon, Kyzer http://themayhew.org/animal-adoption/dogs/
