Dora

Dobby

He is a 15 month old Dartmoor pony, stands about 10/11hh, I brought him sight unseen as a companion for my mare, from a lady who I’m gathering wasn’t to nice to him and he is a nervous wreck, we literally can’t get near him and I don’t have time to be down there 24/7 to spend with him, Neither do I have the money to get a horse trainer or behaviourist for him as we are paying for my mare to be broken in at the moment, I don’t want to sell him to someone else where he will just be moved on and on, would rather him go to a rescue where he has the attention he needs and the knowledgeable Home he needs, it breaks my heart that I can’t afford to pay for someone to come out and help me with him and I don’t wanna get rid of him because I like horses to have a forever home with me but I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place! Hope you can help

Mike

We are emigrating and need to find a loving home for Mike. He is a neutered 16 month old Black cat. He is friendly, rather shy, not at all agresive, I dont think he even hunts mice!
We feel it best that as we will be travelling that he ha a new home.
He loves lots of fuss, is house trained and vaccinated and microchipped.

MAXIMUS

This beautiful boy is Maximus – he is just 4 years old, and a real fabulous dog.

He is great with people, loves to be fussed, and can live with nice children who know how to behave around dogs – especially if they also know how to throw and ball and can tickle behind his ears!

He is great with other dogs, large and small, but has NOT been cat tested so we would suggest that he is NOT a cat friendly chap.

He is a very handsome boy, was used to living with another dog but due to a relationship breakdown was not getting all the time and attention he truly deserves. Great temperament and will make someone a fantastic pet.

He is neutered, vaccinated and waiting in our kennels in SHREWSBURY in Shropshire to meet you. Please complete the enquiry form if you have an amazing home to offer to this amazing boy.

MIA

Mia is a beautiful sweet lurcher girl but is very nervous and will need someone who can help build her confidence and give her the time and attention she needs.

She is such a pretty lady, and loves to be fussed and cuddled but is wary of other dogs and tends to walk very closely to your leg when out of the kennels, as though she is worried that something dreadful is going to happen.

She is in good health, friendly and affectionate, loves a zoom in the field and happy to take treats, nice and gentle – she would benefit from a quieter home with someone who knows lurchers and can give her the reassurance and love she is looking for. Probably not a good choice if you have cats or furries, and we would prefer no small children – her ideal home would be with an older couple who can give her the home she deserves, surrounded by peace and calm and love where she would be the only dog.

Wolfie

Please say hello to Wolfie ? a handsome young lad who finds himself in rescue through no fault of his own.

Wolfie is a smashing chap who is a little wary of strangers at first but soon comes round, especially if treats are on offer!

He currently shares a kennel with Lola and they get along well. He is very respectful and doesn’t snatch or push when being offered treats, preferring to wait his turn.

He really is a super young chap who will make a fantastic companion once settled in his perfect furever home.

Enquiries via website please http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/dogs/wolfie/

DEZZY

DEZZY

Please say a big hello to our new kid Dezzy!

He’s the most lovely waggy bummed 2 year old Staffy boy who is looking for his Furever Home.

Unfortunately his previous owner didn’t have time to invest in him, she says he’d been toiletting in the house since the baby arrived and she wasn’t able to work with our trainer to help Dezzy learn some new rules, so he’s joined us instead!

After declining our offer of Aunty Em’s expertise, we figured he might like emergency boarding and fast – so he’s here!

After just a few days his sore and inflamed skin on his tummy has healed nicely and the redness has gone, and he’s made great friends with his neighbours.

He bumped into a group of 5 dogs when out on a local walk, quite by surprise, and he just did not know who to wag his tail at first!!

He’s lived with a young child and we believe had contact with a cat, and once we have had him neutered and his assessment complete, this delightful little man will be keen to find a home – by the way, you’ll need to convince yours truly that NOTHING will make you ever give him up, this lad has been messed about enough and deserves stability, time, effort and love.

KASS

Kass is a friendly 5 year old GSD who arrived in rescue very undernourished, slowly she has gained some weight but is still quite thin for her size.

Kass is becoming stressed by kennel life and ideally we would love a foster or furever home for her where she could settle and relax and begin to enjoy life once more.

Experience of the breed is preferable as is a home where there is little traffic and comings and goings.

Kass has had a tough life so far and we would love to see her settled in a fabulous furever home.

LOUIS

Louis is now ready to find his Furever Home!

He is a young, friendly, gorgeous, cheeky boy who could probably live with older children but he’s NOT a great cat fan!

He will need a heart scan to check his progress in around 3-4 months time but as far as the consultant is concerned, he is good to go!!

Have you room in your heart and home for our very special boy?

Usual home check and adoption fees applies.

MISS P

A dinky Jack Russell Terrier who is around 9 months old and is looking for her FUREVER home.

We feel that she would be probably best as a single dog, or maybe in a home with bigger dogs because she can be quite bossy as she is a very typical terrier.

She can also be quite vocal and although it sounds awful she doesn’t mean anything by it, she just likes to make herself heard!

She walks nicely on a lead and is more accepting of strangers now than when she first arrived in rescue.

That said, Little Miss P will need to be allowed time to warm to a new person and will probably need a couple of meets before she starts to feel comfortable.

This poor girl has had four homes so far so has experienced a lot of change in her short life.

Can you offer her the stability and furever home she truly deserves please?

FLORENCE

TEMPORARY FOSTER HOME NEEDED URGENTLY

We need to urgently find a fantastic FOSTER home for the next 12 weeks maximum, for a 2 year old saluki girl who is post surgery. Little Flo has had a bone graft taking bone from her shoulder to fix her broken hock, and a skin graft, so she needs total bed rest with careful, considered, controlled exercise until the wound and fuse are stable.

She will be best in a quiet, calm environment, no kids, no cats, no mad dogs like mine who will wind her up, and you need to be close to Stockport, Cheadle, Wilmslow, south Manchester in order to attend her follow up appointments with the very clever vet who rebuilt our little girl after her owner dumped her with a badly broken leg, fleas, worms and little hope.

Little Flo has beaten the system and ended up having very expensive and clever surgery to fix her badly busted leg, and now we need to find somewhere for Flo to go from next week where she can get lots of love and attention and continue to heal. She may be well enough and stable enough to move on sooner but worst case scenario she needs 12 weeks bed rest and you MUST be close to the vets so that there is minimal travel and you can get there easily and quickly for follow up appointments.

FFH will cover ALL your costs, both in terms of providing a super big crate, bed, food, harness & lead, food and of course all vet bills and any consumables. I know we are asking for the virtually impossible but I am a big believer in never say never – Flo was lucky enough to be found by 2 very caring FFH volunteers, the vet was smart enough to risk the clever stuff to save her leg, so we need to make sure her luck continues with the chance of a marvellous home to recuperate in. We will give you 24/7 support with local help if needed – please please please can you share this post and help increase our chances?

If you have dogs yourself they need to be quiet, calm and gentle and respect her space, you need a decent sized garden for gentle lead exercise and enough space indoors to accommodate a decent sized crate for this little sweetheart to rest and recover. I know, a big ask, but if anyone can, Team FFH can, so please share share share and help us find Little Flo’s saviours?

If you feel you can meet all the criteria above, please can you complete the enquiry form as normal and one of our volunteers will contact you to arrange a home check etc. Please remember you MUST be able to accommodate her for up to 12 weeks and be located in the Cheadle/Stockport area and able to transport her to and from vet appointments as needed – probably every few weeks assuming all goes to plan.

Rupert

We are now ready to take applications for Rupert, our beautiful 4 month old collie pup (as of 23/09/17).

Rupert will need an experienced collie home where he will (eventually) get lots of exercise, mental stimulation and chance to use up both his energy and his intelligence!

Please do not apply for Rupert if you work long hours or don’t have the time, space and energy for a working breed.

Please also note the redecoration of the plastic bed (teething!) – he’s a baby so this is inevitable – only apply if you can cater for every life-stage

Ralphy

Meet Ralphy! A stunning young Saluki cross who unfortunately hasn’t had the best start to life, and arrived in rescue part of a welfare case with some awful wounds.

He’s good with other dogs and would love a sighthound experienced furever home please.

Have you room in your heart and on your sofa for Ralphy??

Please say hello to handsome young staffie lad Logan.

Only 12 months of age and he finds himself in kennels in Shrewsbury having been rescued from a home where there were 14 dogs and no garden.

Logan is loving the grass under his toes and he’s an extremely friendly and loving young chap, very keen to be loved and fussed!

Logan is such an inquisitive boy too and likes to investigate and check out all new sniffs.

Needless to say he hasn’t been used to being on a lead, but he is now.

He will need a family who will accept he’s had a rubbish start to his young life and will help him to catch up.

He’s a gorgeous, friendly, happy, waggy tailed young chap in need of a loving furever home please?

MOOSE

Please say a jolly hello to our wonderful boy that is the most magnificent Moose!

This delightful young chap has been with us for a few weeks now as we have allowed him time to settle in and to be assessed by Aunty Em, our behaviourist.

Moose is a fabulous young chap who has a very friendly and bouncy nature, full of excitement and a real lust for life!

That said he is responding well to his training regime and has been out on numerous walks with other dogs and has interacted well with them all, even enjoying an off lead romp on occasion with other kennel residents.

Moose will need an experienced owner, who can channel his youthful bounce and bring out the very best that this wonderful boy has to offer, is that you??

He really does deserve a 5 star furever home and is waiting to hear from you today, so don’t delay, you won’t be disappointed!!

TILLY

Let me introduce you to our gorgeous girl Tilly.

Tilly is a very pretty and very petite collie who is around 4 years old and is in rescue kennels in Shrewsbury.

She is good with other dog and has a friendly nature. She is undergoing lead training at the moment and this is definitely a work in progress.

Tilly is better off the lead than on at the moment but she is responding well to training so hopefully in time this will change.

She is a typical high energy girl, very typical of her breed and we feel an experienced furever home would be best for Tilly.

Have you got what Tilly needs? If so, please get in touch!

Apply http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/dogs/tilly/

Tess

Please welcome Tess to the FFH family.

Isn’t she gorgeous!?

Tess is around 12-18 months old (as of 8/10/17) and is a typical high energy collie who will need an active furever home where her mind and body will be both be challenged.

Tess is good with other dogs and has good recall too.

She is undergoing some lead training at the moment and this is definitely a work in progress.

Have you got the furever home that our gorgeous girl Tess wants and needs? If so, please get in touch!

CHARLIE

Please meet Charlie, a cute little crossbreed chap who is in rescue in Shropshire and looking for love.

Charlie will be 7 months old as of 15/10/17 and has had a very sheltered life so far.

Because of this he can be a little wary of strangers, but once he knows you mean no harm he’s the friendliest lad you could wish to meet.

With other dogs, Charlie can be a little wary too but seems ok with calmer dogs.

A lack of socialisation as a pup has left this lovely lad with some insecurities but with time, patience and love all could be worked on.

With Charlie still being a baby, we would prefer a home where someone is around most of the time and one that can give Charlie the love and attention he needs and deserves.

Could Charlie be your darling?

Jimmy

Jimmy is a two year old brindle coloured lurcher male in need of a fab Furever.

He is great with children of all ages and good with other dogs when out and about but due to some very negative experiences with 2 other resident dogs as a puppy, Jimmy is highly anxious and a bit of a resource guarder at home, so would be best as the only dog.

He’s a good natured young chap and shares his home with children and a cat (both have their own escape space) but he really could do with a home where his needs can be prioritised.

Is Jimmy the pawfect young companion for you maybe? Good around livestock, walks nicely on the lead, house trained and travels well.

He ticks a lot of boxes!!
