Romeo and his sisters,

As handsome as his sisters are pretty, meet the boy of the litter, Romeo! Abandoned with his Mum and siblings and left to fend for themselves, these gorgeous ambull x staffy x boxer babies are just delightful! 17 weeks of age (11.6.17) which means they will need pretty special homes where folk can commit to puppy class and ongoing training and socialisation. These could turn out to be big strong dogs so early work is essential – but look at that face, what a handsome little boy! Shrewsbury and waiting!

Details photos and application http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/dogs/romeo/

Sasha

Sasha is a beautiful 2/3 year old GSD x staffy who arrived in rescue very scared of everything and everyone.

As you can see from the photos above tremendous work has been done with Sasha to bring her out of her shell, very steadily.

She is great with other dogs and enjoys a good run around the field with her kennel pals.

However, Sasha can still be a little nervous when meeting new people, but opens up to a fab and friendly girl once she gets to know you.

She has good recall and loves to play ball, Sasha is a very active dog whose both mind and body will need stimulation.

Sasha has been enjoying the Reiki sessions at kennels and this has helped her to relax immensely.

She will need a patient and committed owner who will continue to steadily bring her out of her shell.

Can you offer Sasha the love and furever home she needs?

This sweet natured mature chap is a firm favourite with all the volunteers and is great with dogs and people alike.

He is happy to share his kennel and has great manners and basic obedience whilst having a playful cheeky streak too!

Could you offer this fabulous chap a comfy sofa to chill out on in his twilight years?

ZEUS

A 15 month old Malinois boy who is very intelligent! He has had to move kennels as he worked out very quickly how to open the door – typical Mali! They are a very special breed with lots of energy, drive and intelligence and so will need a home where that is recognised and catered for so ideally you will have breed experience and be ready to take on this rather gorgeous boy and respect his traits and provide an active home for him with something to keep his head busy ongoing. He’s great with other dogs and loves to play and fetch, his previous owner had been teaching him tracking to keep him busy so if you are prepared to do something similar, perhaps he is the boy for you? Canicross? Scent work? Agility? Who knows! Something to inspire and use up that Mali energy.

MORE DETAILS, PHOTOS AND APPLICATION FORM http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/dogs/zeus/

DOTTY

Dotty is a 3 year old girl who is great with other dogs and children but she cannot live with cats or small furries. She is an absolute delight, having come from a family home where they didn’t have time for her any more, she has adapted well to life in kennels and has been giving Johnny, our ex racer, a run for his money in the paddock! Lovely girl needs an equally lovely home please?

Details and application http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/dogs/dotty/

LOUBIE LOU

She is currently in kennels in Shrewsbury and would love an active home with lots of walking and exercise. She is not a great fan of other dogs and certainly has no time for cats so we feel this little lovely would be best as an only pet. As with all our dogs, we can offer full behaviourist support to work on any issues and help her settle in with you, she is house trained, great with people and will make someone a loving companion.

Details and enquiry http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/dogs/loubielou/

JADE

Jade is a beautiful little staffy cross girl with the most fabulous temperament – she is a firm favourite with volunteers and vet folk alike. At the tender age of 11 years Jade has been “dumped” and we now need to find her the home that deserves her! She is a little star. She is currently enjoying a brief respite from kennels in a fabulous foster home where she is proving to be the ideal house guest ?

Details http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/dogs/jade/

PETE

Pete is a 3 year old lurcher cross breed who is friendly and handsome.

He is a young friendly energetic dog who can be giddy if allowed and so will be best suited to an experienced owner with big breed experience who will appreciate this boys energy and personality. He really does have a super personality – friendly, cheeky, loves to run and play.

He has lived with a female dog before but can be choosy about sharing his space with other boys.

He’s best suited to an active experienced home with the chance of a good run regularly and probably older kids/teens as Pete’s bounce might be a bit much for little tiddlers although he has been going out for walks with a pram just to practice his manners in such situations, his energy and enthusiasm could be too much for little ones.

No cats or small furries thanks – he’s best as an only pet.

Beautiful big dog who will make a superb companion for the right person – anyone who is willing to make the investment of time and effort will be rewarded hundreds of times over with this boy – he has matured so much in the past few weeks and has been enjoying walk out to local beauty spots to keep him stimulated and used to the big bad world – everyone loves him and he really does deserve a chance.

Usual Homecheck and Adoption fee applies.

Details and enquiry http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/dogs/pete/

NATHAN

Nathan is a friendly young lad, very handsome too and takes treats very gently. He has good manners so at some point someone has taught him the basics but he does need an active, experienced lurcher home where he will get both the exercise and mental stimulation he needs. He is a big and quite strong lad and will need someone capable of looking after a large, energetic dog and who is prepared to continue with his training and help him reach his full potential.

A confident boy, not suitable for cats and small furries as bed fellows, could probably live with older children who wouldn’t get knocked over in a sudden rush for the door! He really is a lovely big boy, deserves the best of homes, so if you feel he is right for you please apply, checking you are indeed Rescue Ready first!

Usual home check and adoption fees apply.

Details and enquiry http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/dogs/nathan/

RUBY

Meet Ruby – a 5 year old Sharpei cross girl who is good with other dogs and a very friendly young girl. She can be quite strong on the lead so some time invested in training would be good but she is such a loving girl she is worth every bit of effort! She did used to live with an older terrier dog and we know she was very much loved in her home but due to the owner’s unfortunate change in circumstances, Ruby now finds herself homeless and looking for love. With you perhaps?

Details and enquiry http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/dogs/ruby/

BODHI

This is Bodhi – a beautiful, happy, friendly 4 year old girl who finds herself in rescue after being in a home since birth. Sadly the arrival of a new baby meant a big life change for Bodhi and she just was not getting the exercise and stimulation that she needs. As you can see she is a lovely looking girl and has lived with a cat so with the right introductions and sensible management could do probably do so again. She is nervous around very young children so we would suggest only older children in the home please? She is a very excitable young girl, needs a bit of work on her lead walking and can get over excited when out and about but she has probably never had the input and structure that will help with that. Could you be the right home for her? Bodhi is a 23kg black and white staff/collie/rotti mix.

Please use the enquiry form, making sure you are prepared to travel to Shrewsbury with any resident dogs to meet her, assuming a successful home check.

MOUSE

This is Mouse. He is currently in foster on Merseyside with 3 other dogs and is proving himself to be a lovely house guest ? He has lived wtih children under the age of 6, has lived with a cat and is now living in a home with 3 dogs so it is safe to say that Mouse ticks a lot of boxes! He is just 5 months old and so will need a home where someone is around a reasonable amount of time and who will be prepared to continue with his training and socialisation. Part of the adoption contract will be for the new owner to arrange to have Mouse neutered at their expense once he is old enough. If you are interested in him, please complete the enquiry form and give us as much information as you can about your circumstances and previous experience. Thanks ?

Details and enquiry http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/dogs/mouse/

ROCKY

This is Rocky, a very handsome Rottie boy who is good with other dogs and currently sharing his kennel with Rosie and Jade.

Believe it or not Rocky is 10 years old although he runs and plays and looks like a 2 year old! Sadly his owner has recently passed away meaning Rocky now needs a Furever Home please? He is a super chap and would make someone a great companion – steady and well behaved, walks nicely on the lead and has always lived in a home.

Details and enquiry http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/dogs/rocky/

DAVE

This is Dave, a real gentleman and a proper sweetheart who is a firm favourite with everyone who meets him.

Dave is a bull lurcher who has obviously been used for working as his injuries and scars tell a whole history – poor lad has bad facial injuries (now fully healed) and you can see how his bottom lip hangs. However, Dave is an absolute gent and deserves the opportunity of a kind hand, cozy bed and loving home with NO need to earn his keep please? He’s a fab lad, very gentle and kind – are you good enough for him?

Details and enquiry http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/dogs/dave/

JOHNNY

We have five greyhounds to rehome. Beautiful dogs, and believe it or not, they love lounging and only need a couple of short walks a day.

Johnny has been with us the longest, Taylor is in foster and Gavin and Stacy, Nessa and Smithy were abandoned in a van on an allotment.

Please visit our website and see all their photos and details. Enquiry form too

Adopt Me

HATCHI

Hatchi is a 14 month old chunky husky boy who is a very friendly and sociable lad, good with other dogs and wasn’t too interested in the cattery either – but usual precautions would always apply!

He really needs someone who has experience and understands the breed and can provide the right environment, exercise and stimulation for this wonderful young energetic boy.

Details and enquiry .http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/dogs/hatchi/

JOE

We feel he is probably an ex farm dog from his behaviour and preferences, as you can see, he does rather love his bed in the hay! He’s a super friendly boy, loves playing with some of the other dogs, the girls especially, but some of the boys spook him so probably best as the only boy in a home, but it would be lovely to see him have a sister to play with as he really does enjoy playing with another dog given the chance. We don’t normally insist on this but we feel Joseph needs a home with a garden – he is wary of walking on the lead still and traffic is a bit scary for him, he can get quite timid so a good secure garden is a must at least in the early days whilst he settles in with you and learns to live in a home environment. Sometimes even at kennels he just wants to walk a short distance and then sit and be stroked – he is a quiet boy and we feel would like a garden to be safe in first before he meets too much of the big bad world.

He would possibly prefer not to be bothered with young children either – he loves fuss and attention but as he is quite shy it would be nice to not have to contend with young kids please! He will also do best in a home where he has company – we do feel he would be happiest living with another dog (ideally female) and where he is not at home alone too much, too often.

Joseph possibly has an issue with his eyes – his pupils seem quite enlarged and if you are a collie lover you will know that it is not especially unusual for a collie to have eye problems – we will get this checked out thoroughly in due course but the vet feels that this might lead to him losing is sight in the future – not definite but there is a possibility.

Joseph is a fabulous young lad and it would be great to see him getting the cuddles and fuss that he so loves in his own Furever Home but that home will need to be a special one – at the moment he is displaying signs of severe anxiety and is reluctant to go for walks or move too far away from his kennel and he has started with some OCD behaviours too. All he wants to do is be loved and cuddled, there is no aggression or malice, he is just a scared, confused little boy who needs an experienced and understanding home with peace and quiet and the chance to learn to relax.

Anyone who adopted Joseph would get our full support including free access to a professionally qualified behaviourist at every step.

In summary Joseph’s ideal home will be a quiet adult home with a lovely secure garden in a quiet part of the world, if he can share that home with a female friendly dog then he would be very happy as he loves to play with other dogs but can be a bit overwhelmed by boys. His shy and quiet nature will need patience, calm and the chance to settle in and relax and as he does not cope well with change, it would be good if you were able to visit him a couple of times in kennels (Shrewsbury) to get to know him and him you. Thanks ?
