Basil
Please meet Basil! Basil is a 5 1/2 year old English Springer Spaniel who has limited eyesight due to cataracts. He is an extremely loving dog who adores people once he knows them, but needs to be the only dog in the home and no cats. He can live with teenage children plus. Basil is house trained.
Basil copes well with his limited vision and travels well in the car. He has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. Basil absolutely adores his toys and loves cuddles and is the sweetest boy you could wish to meet. He is very strong on the lead but is a quick learner. Basil is in Foster home in Kent.

Chunk
Please meet Chunk!! Chunk is a 4 year old Sharpei who came to SEDR as his previous owner was too ill to care for him. Chunk is a sweet and loving boy once he gets to know you but is a typical Sharpei in that he is initially wary of new people and it takes a while for him to let his guard down. Chunk would prefer to be the only dog in the home but is good with dogs out and about and does kennel share with other dogs here.
Chunk cannot live with cats or children and needs a patient person who understands the breed. We are told he is house trained and fine to be left for a few hours each day.
Chunk is a really sweet boy who is confused as to why he isn’t in a home and will make someone an amazing companion.

Norman
Norman the magnificent little man is looking for his furever home.
He is approx 3 years old and is a very small Jack Russell cross. He was found abandoned and covered in petrol. A rehoming centre took him and deemed him too worried and frightened to be homed, this is when we stepped in and gave him a second chance at happiness.
He has come a long way in the past year and has been living in foster since January.
He is still quite shy and does not like long walks, he more than makes up for it being busy in the garden sniffing flowers and playing with his toys.
He gets on well with other dogs, but would not be suitable for a home with children.
Norman has been castrated, vaccinated and microchipped.

Little Max
Little Max is very sadly looking for his furever home due to his dad was taken into a hospice. Max is 9 years old and has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
Max is very sad and confused at being in kennels. He has mixed well with other dogs here but we feel he would prefer to be the only dog in the home…or with a calm female.
He loves to play with his toys and would ideal for a semi retired / retired person who has time to spend with him.
Due to his dads illness he hasn’t been walked for some time and needs to shed a few pounds.
We are told he is house trained.
We have no history about Max with children therefore are looking for a home without children. Max is currently receiving treatment for an ear infection.
Max still has so much love to give and would love to find another person to love him as much his former dad did.

A 15 month old Malinois boy who is very intelligent! He has had to move kennels as he worked out very quickly how to open the door – typical Mali! They are a very special breed with lots of energy, drive and intelligence and so will need a home where that is recognised and catered for so ideally you will have breed experience and be ready to take on this rather gorgeous boy and respect his traits and provide an active home for him with something to keep his head busy ongoing. He’s great with other dogs and loves to play and fetch, his previous owner had been teaching him tracking to keep him busy so if you are prepared to do something similar, perhaps he is the boy for you? Canicross? Scent work? Agility? Who knows! Something to inspire and use up that Mali energy.

American Bulldog Blu is looking for a home
Blu is an American Bulldog and is around 1 year old. He has some hearing problems on his left side but otherwise fine.� Blu is sadly having to find a new home as the older resident dog is not happy sharing his space.
His current owner says ‘Blu is a very lovely affectionate dog, full of happiness and just wants to be with you all the time giving cuddles and kisses. Loves to chase a ball, and play fetch, but is still learning to give it up without a bribe. Great recall, is very good off lead, but lead walking needs some work. Can be left at home during the days but needs a good run before and after as can be destructive of letters, books, and things lying around, as he’s very curious, but never furniture.
He has a huge appetite, but needs to remember his manners like ‘wait’ and ‘gentle’, so continuous training is needed. He can be possessive over toys, and snatchy with food so would be best in a home with no young children until he learns that it’s OK and nobody is stealing his food or toys.
Blu is fully House trained and doesn’t seem to be reactive to cats, or other small animals (lives with rats currently), and when he’s playing fetch he’s not interested in other dogs. When he’s not playing fetch he can be a little nervous of dogs that come running up to him. If a dog reacts to him, he will react back, then takes a few minutes to calm down.
Blu needs an owner who is experienced in bully breeds, has the time to continue his training, and give him the attention he deserves. Until he grows in confidence he would probably be Best as an only dog in a child free home’ Can anyone offer Blu that opportunity please?

Please can anyone help Toby find a foster or Furever Home asap? He is really stressed finding himself in kennels. He’s around 16 months old and is a complete little love – fosters need to be local Shropshire up to the Wirral is fine – but if you can offer Toby a Furever we can look UK wide? Toby is nervous and hand shy so we do not feel he is suitable to be in a home with young children at the moment who might not understand that he needs time and space and that he is a very scared little boy.
