A pair of ex racers (Greyhounds) who are now looking for a furever home. Both travel well, walk nicely on a lead, and get on with other dogs. Its probably best not to have cats or other little furry beasts around though 🙂 Although Johnny is shown in a muzzle, there are no issues there, it’s just what he is used to.Please enquire via our website www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk
Please meet TJ, a super dinky 7 year old Staffordshire bull terrier boy who was an absolute gentleman with every other dog he met out on his woodland walk today and in his former home his best friends and playmates were 2 cats! He’s a steady little chap, little bit nervous with sudden movements but he’s struggling with kennels after being in a home from 8 weeks of age until last week. He had a fab time today with our lovely volunteer and her teenage boy, and we would very much like to find TJ a loving stable home very soon, he’s just such a sweetie! Good with dogs AND cats too, older kids only if any and a calm home please – he deserves a chance to get his self esteem back. Apply website http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/adopt_me.html
Say hello to 2 yr old BUDDY the Dalmatian. Giddy & skittish, he needs Dalmatian experienced home only please. He is good with other dogs, older children only and a home prepared to give the time & effort that this boy is going to need. Please don’t fall for the Disney version – these dogs have a long history of working and are intelligent dogs with high stamina so need a breed experienced home only please? In Shrewsbury but will rehome nationwide for right home. Apply http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/adopt_me.html
Lexi is a beautiful brindle babe who will need some work on the lead as she does pull a bit, but settles eventually. Very keen on the other dogs when she saw them, sniffed and wagged her tail at Denzil and Freddie. Happy to chase a ball but not bothered to bringing it back, so that kept me fit lol! Was fascinated by the rubber sheeting in the field, kept jumping on it like it was a trampoline! Teats very prominent, so probably multiple litters, she deserves some TLC now. Could you offer her a furever home? Apply via website http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/adopt_me.html
BUDDY is a 2 year old beautiful, friendly and affectionate lurcher boy who is great with other dogs, steady and well behaved – he is also excellent with children, having lived with young children in the home. He has great manners and we feel sure he will be snapped up soon. He is in kennels at Shrewsbury at the moment, but can be rehomed nationwide to the right home. Apply via website http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/adopt_me.html
MOOSE is a handsome crossbreed chap – just 9 months old and is currently in emergency boarding in Stoke on Trent. During his time in a foster home he loved to be with people -ideally women – and will happily cuddle up on the sofa or at your feet whilst you are busy in the kitchen but he is very scared of children, as well as his own reflection in a window or mirror, so dog knows what this poor little lad has been subjected to in his short life so far 🙁 Moose would do best in a home with adults or teenagers where someone is around a lot and where he can come to you for affection on his terms, as once he knows and trusts you, he loves to cuddle up. Moose has had basic training and will sit, go down, do hand touches, leave, and has great recall but still needs some work on the lead as he can be anxious when out and fearful of other dogs – and although he was in foster with another dog, any introductions will need to be slow and careful as fear gets the better of him. Travel is also frightening for him and he gets scared in a car, again something that can be overcome with time and patience on your part. He is a very loving, soppy and affectionate boy once he knows he can trust you – but will need a home where you will commit to helping him overcome his fears and forget his past but all the time and effort will be repaid tenfold and you will be rewarded with the most wonderful boy, once he learns the world is not so scary. Are you kind, generous and patient enough to help this boy unpack his baggage and learn that not everyone is to be feared and the world is not a completely scary place? We would love to find Moose a foster/Furever home and would fully cover the costs of a behaviourist to work with him and any other associated costs if you are prepared to put in the time and effort he deserves. Please can you help Moose? Please apply via our website http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk
Please meet RUBY. She’s an 18 month old absolutely beautiful Lurcher girl who is a bit bewildered and upset by her situation at the moment finding herself in kennels instead of the family home she was used to. She’s great with other dogs and actually would like to live with another dog, a male Lurcher if possible to be a fast playmate! She has lived with pre-school children too so would make a great family pet, and ideally as she is still young and a little nervous, she would do best in a home with someone around to help her build confidence and overcome her anxiety. She’s a smashing little girl, loving and affectionate, loves to play and bounce, a super choice for a Lurcher experienced family home – NO CATS though thanks!! RUBY is in rescue in Shrewsbury but can be rehomed nationwide. Please apply via our website http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/ruby.html
Please say hello to Reggie – a wonderful Collie-cross boy who has just joined us. He has lived with children and is a very friendly dog who is also good with other dogs. He has a very sweet temperament and is eager to please and a very happy lad. Reggie will need some basic training as he is only young but he will make a superb family dog in the right home with the right approach. He is a bit bouncy and unsure at the moment, but he’s a cracking chap – it’s only to be expected given the sudden change in his life at such a young age, but he is ready to start interviewing prospective furever families. Could you give Reggie to loving home he deserves? Please apply via our website http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/reggie.html
Please meet Genie, a beautiful 4 year old Lurcher who is very friendly, good with well mannered dogs, no cats! She has an endearing wonky smile from an old injury, and the most gorgeous sparkly eyes. Can you be her Happy Ever After please? She deserves one! She will do best in a home with a nice secure garden as she is very agile and if living with another dog she would prefer someone calm and steady who’s not in her face please. Beautiful sweet nature, just wants a chance to be loved please Apply via our website http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/genie.html
Please say hello, but very quietly and gently, to Shadow and Chance. These two boys are 3 years old brothers and have had a very limited life on the balcony of a flat until the owner realised she really needed to sign them over to rescue when her own problems became too much. As such the boys have not had any exposure to the outside world and are frightened of everyone and everything is very new. Luckily they have a super foster offer in a very quiet, calm home and they are coming round but look what happens when they are allowed free space to run – they haven’t had an opportunity to go this ever before but look at their faces light up as they run and play They are both beautiful boys, shy and timid but no fear aggression at all, and we would love them to find a home together with a large secure garden so that those happy smiles can be seen more and more. Shadow & Chance deserve the most fabulous Furever after and at just 3 years of age, they have a lot of life to live! Application via our website please http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/shadow_chance.html
Malik is a fantastic older dog who is looking for an active home. We are told he is around 11 years of age although his general appearance and energy levels might suggest younger! He lives for his walks, and will remind you if he hasn’t had them (sitting by the dog, running to the door and at times looking at us and then the door and having a moan!). He is currently in a foster home and took a little while to settle, at his time of life it’s no fun being uprooted and moved around so we do need to make sure that whoever adopts him is committed to FUREVER. He has been great meeting other dogs on and off lead and showed no interest in the cats during his visit to the cattery. He’s responsive to basic commands, sit, stay, lie and VERY responsive when treats are involved. All in all a fabulous chap who is friendly, loves a good fuss and will make someone a lovely companion. As with all our dogs, if you have any concerns about settling a new dog into your home, we provide support free of charge from a qualified, professional behaviourist and Malik would receive the exact same support with any new family. He is probably better with older or no children as he would probably prefer a quieter life with lots of fuss and sofa space just for him Please apply via website http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/malik.html
Victor is a lovely dog who lacks confidence terribly around men – he will need someone who is patient and doesn’t push Victor and allows him to come round in his own time, which he typically does and is then happy to approach and share a sofa. He’s a loving chap and once he trusts you and feels safe with you, he starts to show his true personality – one that enjoys sharing a sofa and even a quilt if allowed! He’s got excellent basic obedience, walks nicely on the lead and travels well, is currently sharing a foster home with a female dog and they have become great pals, playing nicely together. He’s had a pretty rubbish time of it, absolutely petrified when he came into rescue kennels but his foster experience has enabled that confidence to grow, but he still has a way to go – FFH will provide a fully qualified behaviourist to offer advice and support, at our full expense, if you feel you have the home to offer him? He has good recall and is learning to fetch and drop a ball, and this boy just wants the chance of a normal, happy life. Can you offer him that? In foster in Manchester Applications via website please http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/victor.html
Arlana (meaning oath) or Lana for short (beauty, peacefulness) is around 2 years old – a young friendly quiet girl who is worried and bewildered at the moment by her situation. She has already been used for breeding and then abandoned. She had been picked up as a stray and faced PTS but now she’s safe with us. Arlana came into kennels already pregnant – she has had her pups who have now been rehomed – so she is now on her own. With sensible introduction and supervision we believe that Arlana could live with a cat as she has been in a home, off lead and in the same room as a confident cat – and showed NO reaction. Could you give Arlana the love and attention that she so deserves? In rescue in Shrewsbury Please apply via website http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/arlana.html
Suzy is a playful, lively young girl, loves being with children, travels well and is great in a home environment. She is around 3 years old, is good with other dogs although can get excited if allowed but she cannot live with cats. Suzy loves a good lean against your legs making it easy for you to give her the strokes and scratches that she particularly likes! Suzy would make a great family dog assuming you are an active family who like to get out and about as Suzy does love a good walk – as long as there is a sofa with her name on afterwards! She’s a lovely character and loves to meet people so please will you consider offering her the Happy Ever After she deserves? Please apply via website http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/suzy.html
ICE is in foster in Shrewsbury He is very young lurcher boy who is bouncy, playful and good with other dogs. He will need basic training but he is lovely natured and has a goofy character. No little ones as he jumps up for cuddles. Please apply via our website http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/ice.html
Pete is a 3 year old lurcher cross breed who is friendly and handsome. He is a young friendly energetic dog who can be giddy if allowed so he’ll need an experienced owner with big breed experience who will appreciate this boys energy and personality. He has lived with a female dog before but can be choosy about sharing his space with other boys. He’s best suited to an active experienced home with chance of a good run regularly and probably older kids/teens as Pete’s bounce might be a bit much for little tiddlers. No cats or small furries thanks. Beautiful big dog who will make a superb companion for the right person. Apply via our website please http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/pete.html
Thomas is a 7 year old bull lurcher who had an untreated injury to his bottom jaw which was very painful at the time but is now completely healed and doesn’t detract from just how handsome he is! He’s good with other big dogs but not so with little ones or small furries and would be great with older kids (he can bounce in his excitement to kiss you!) He is a very friendly, affectionate & loving lad and it would be great to see him put his sad past behind him and find a furever sofa to lay his lazy Lurcher head. Apply via website please http://www.findingfureverhomes.org.uk/thomas.html
Buddy is a beautiful, friendly and affectionate lurcher boy who is grear with other dogs, steady and well behaved – he is also excellent with children, having lived with young children in the home.
