Last night Bella was taken to a Rottweiler dog training club. She was beautifully behaved, travelled well, greeted people like old friends and was great with other dogs. She only became a bit vocal when she was frustrated that she couldn’t get to the other dogs! Well, no-one likes to be left out do they?! Bella is being spayed next week. CALLING ALL GERMAN SHEPHERD/DOG LOVERS URGENT APPEAL… We have in our care saved from the perils of the ‘Free Ads internet curse’ a 5 year old German Shepherd female. She is underweight and has a large haematoma on her ear flap. Cruelly given away because she was no longer wanted. The people who viewed her took her as she was in such a state. Sadly there is no option to prosecute the original ow…ner. We urgently need to find an experienced foster for her, she was put into emergency foster but now we need to move her, she is a very friendly girl, walks well on lead is quiet through the night. But she is struggling when left alone currently, (pooping and crying) it is early days for her so we are hopeful she will settle, but at the moment she’s quite needy as you would expect. This is Lucky, a Yorkie cross aged approx 7 years & neutered. Lucky was handed to us as his owner died and relatives could not take him on. Lucky is being fostered in a home with 3 other large dogs and here is what his foster mum says about him.. … ‘Lucky is good with children and seems well socialised with dogs. He is playful and a…gile, and really loves his walks, he’s being walked on harne…ss, and a trailing lead for free running and is learning recall with aid of hot dog treats! Lucky has no trouble keeping up with the other big dogs he goes for his walks with.
Lucky really loves attention and affection and loves to sit on the sofa and on your lap, and would benefit from having your undivided attention which he thrives on. Lucky is proving to be very trainable, he enjoys his treats and has an excellent appetite.
Lucky does bark at the doorbell or the post being delivered, but is otherwise quiet. Lucky most definately does NOT like cats though’

Almost 7 yr old Khan is still looking for a special forever home. He’s currently lucky enough to be in foster care, but he’s looking for a home where he can be the only pet, with experienced owners. Khan has not had the opportunity to socialise with other dogs much and will need continued positive training to hel…p him with this, which we can offer support with. Khan is homeless due to his previous owners terminal illness. Khan was allowed a lot of freedom in the past (wandering in and out of the home at will) so will need a secure home, as he can open some doors, and it’s not appropriate to let him wander unsupervised!
Khan absolutely adores being with his people, loves affection, being groomed, and will wake you in the morning with a huge kiss. He walks well when using a gentle leader, and enjoys a ride in the car. Yes, he does have his faults, but don’t we all, and we will be here to offer support and advice.

Kane is a 2 year old male German Shepherd, who we are trying to help his owner rehome. Kane is neutered, vaccinated, micro chipped, can live with dogs and teenagers 16+, untested with cats though. A lilttle update and new piccie from Bruno’s foster mum. Bruno had his castrate on Friday and has recovered well. He is still looking for his own home.
Bruno (16 months) is brilliant and gentle with the 11 and 14 yr old children at his foster home, he really adores them and enjoys playtime and cuddle time. Bruno could also possibly live with dog savvy cats. Bruno is a little unsure of other dogs… on his walks, so may need some confidence building there.
Bruno can be left for a few hours and is not destructive. He does still have a very occasional toilet accident though. Overall Bruno is a bright playful boy, who would love to learn new things, and will be a wonderfully loyal and affectionate companion. Room for two anyone? Yes, they’re an odd couple, but completely adorable!.They’re looking for a new home through no fault of their own.
Finding a home for a pair of dogs is always difficult, but as these two are so people focused we feel we could re-home them separately if necessary.

Sascha is a 9 month old female German Shepherd, who is searching for a new home, she has lived with dogs, cats (although would need to be very dog savvy cat) and older children. Sascha was adopted from us as an 8 week old puppy and is very friendly and intelligent. She knows all her basic commands and has recall. Sascha may need help with toilet training during the settling in phase.
